To ensure a trouble-free production, it is highly recommended to service your sawing machine regularly and to replace any worn-out parts before they may break down completely. The service of the HewSaw machine is best to be left to professionals for many reasons, the most important one being that the pre-emptive service call saves from unexpected breaks and unwanted breakdowns. The lifecycle of the sawing machine becomes longer by active and planned monitoring.

Training
HewSaw Step 1-2-3 Training
A full 3-step training is included with every sale of HewSaw.
Prior to the HewSaw delivery, the sawmill operating staff will visit the manufacturing facilities in Mäntyharju and familiarise themselves with the company, production and the HewSaw machine and its features. During the training, the participants also visit HewSaw reference sawmills. Their specific training needs are identified. The Hewsaw manual with related documents are handed out to the participants for further reference.
During the actual start-up of the equipment, an in-depth, on-the-job training is given by the installation supervisors at site.
Three to six months from the start-up, the trainer will visit the sawmill again and then the operating staff can ask questions and go through any problems or specific areas of the day to day running of the sawing line. We aim to tailor our training based on our customers’ requirements. HewSaw operational training is flexible, hands-on and fun.
The aims of this program are:
- to develop and deepen the knowledge and skills of the participants
- to fully train the participants to be responsible for their work tasks
- to clarify and demonstrate HewSaw sawing technology, the structure of the equipment, service and maintenance of the equipment and the replacement parts, and the safety of the working environment
- to motivate the participant, build confidence and create a true spirit of leadership. Instilling these positive values creates more satisfied and enthusiastic employees
- to adopt good practises on the daily work
- to familiarise the participant with Veisto, the company philosophy and to create future contacts
