Nørlund-Viskum Træ A/S is the far biggest sawmill company in Denmark for construction wood. Total capacity is more than 150.000 m3 sawn goods per year.

The sawmill in Nörlund burnt down on 19 April, 2005 and just 13 months after is again in production.

Reasons, why Nørlund-Viskum Træ A/S chose HewSaw for their production line:

• Flexibility – processing of normal sawn goods as well as special profiles
• Logs processed without log sorting – scan’n’set –mode
• HewSaw was delivered as a turn-key project, including mechanical erection, electrical and process control.
• Very short period of erection. From machine delivery on the sawmill site to the first logs sawn was less than 7 weeks.
• Start-up was completed with almost no problems. After two weeks 60% of the design capacity was reached with 100% product quality.
• Veisto produces most advanced technology for small diameter logs

Noerlundfonden has head office in Nörager, about 40 km south of Aalborg. Except of sawing mills they have 2200 ha forest, 350 ha of agricultural land and an old castle from year 1597 with a top restaurant.
