Veisto is one of the leading
manufacturers and suppliers of high production saw machines with a
total revenue of 35 million EUR in 2007 and a total of 190 employees.
Veisto Oy is a parent company in a
group, which also includes Koneveisto Rautio Ltd. and Vakiometalli Ltd.
in Finland, Veisto Sverige Ab in Sweden, HewSaw Machines Inc. in
Canada, Veisto Sägemaschinen Vertrieb GmbH in Germany and HewSaw
US, Inc. in USA. Foreign subsidiaries are responsible for the marketing
of HewSaw sawing machines and after sales activities in their
individual market areas.
In addition, the company has agents in
Argentina, Chile, South Africa, France, New Zealand, Australia, Russia,
Poland and Romania.
Exports count for 70% of our
business. The most significant export countries are Sweden,
Germany, France, Russia, USA and Canada.
Sales and marketing
The subsidiaries and the agent network
form a comprehensive and a well-functioning system, which help to
achieve a sufficiently extensive market area. There is no need to grow
the market area. Primary focus is on utilizing the marketing work done
in the current areas for years. In the declining markets the turnover
is increased with after-sales and modernisation products.
